It always starts with that one specific sound. The soft click of the needle finding the groove. That brief moment of expectant silence. And then, the music fills the room—not just as background noise, but as a presence.

For me, Jeroen, that love affair began with the iconic soundscapes of Pink Floyd and the soul-stirring guitar riffs of Dire Straits. These weren’t just records I listened to; they were experiences I lived. They became the soundtrack of my youth, and my collection grew alongside me. Every sleeve a piece of art, every record a time capsule.

From Frustration to Design

As my collection expanded, so did a frustration every collector knows all too well. My records—my pride and joy—often ended up stacked in a dusty corner, hidden away in anonymous cabinets or awkward crates. It felt like a betrayal. These iconic albums and the stories they told deserved better. They deserved to be seen.

I searched for a solution, but everything I found was purely functional, soulless, and often made of cheap plastic. These 'solutions' didn't understand the passion for music. They treated my collection as objects to be stored, not as art to be displayed.

The Birth of Vin Up

That frustration became the driving force behind Vin Up. If there wasn’t a stylish, respectful way to integrate my passion into my interior, I had to create it myself. I didn’t want to build simple 'storage units'; I wanted to design a stage. A stage for the music that shapes our lives.

Vin Up was born from the conviction that the way you present your music is just as personal and meaningful as the music itself. It is the fusion of two worlds: the deep, emotional bond with vinyl and a love for thoughtful, personal interior design.
